Using AI responsibly
Academic Integrity and Responsible AI
Rules differ between institutions and even between courses. Check what is allowed before you start, and keep a record of how you used AI.
Use AI to explain, question and review — not to produce the work you will be assessed on. Verify every factual claim and never cite a reference an AI suggested without finding the source yourself: AI tools can invent references.
Example
Acceptable in many courses: “Explain the difference between validity and reliability.” Not acceptable in most: “Write my discussion chapter.”
Exercise
Open the AI-use report for your project and edit the declaration to match your course rules.
